When Holy Ghost and FIRE was used together in the scriptures. It meant two opposing things First: 'He will baptize you the HOLY GHOST. That is Grace. That is salvation. That is what CHRIST came to do.

Secondly: He will baptize with FIRE. That doesn't mean ZEAL like 'the fire in the bones of Jeremiah'. It means Judgment for unbelievers which is still future: It means destruction from the presence of God and from the Glory of his power. THAT IS NOT WHAT BROUGHT JESUS.

Isaiah 61:1-2 61 “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent me to heal the broken hearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn,”

Luke 4:17-21 “And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: 18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me [a]to heal the broken-hearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; 19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” 20 Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him”

NOTE: ISAIAH speaks about “AND THE DAY OF VENGEANCE OF OUR GOD” but Jesus is silent about “vengeance”: VENGEANCE IS NOT WHAT BROUGHT JESUS. Vengeance on UNBELIEVERS is still reserved for the future.

Mat 3:11 “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire”

And also in Luke 3:16 John answered them all, "I baptize you with water. But one who is more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire”.

But the FIRE PART was not referenced in several other texts of the New Testament e.g. Mark 1:8 “I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. JUST HOLY GHOST, NO FIRE!

John 1:33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost

Acts 1:5 “For John baptized with[a] water, but in a few days you will be baptized with[b] the Holy Spirit.” AGAIN NO FIRE IS MENTIONED!

Acts 11:15-16 “And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost”.

It is John the Baptist that gave the idea of baptism with FIRE. This is proof that NOT ALL that the OT Prophets spoke was true. And that is why Jesus [THE WORD] went about correcting them in the four gospels. Baptism of fire is not the reason Jesus Christ came. It is not the gospel. It is not the message we are sent to announce.

Acts 2:3 "And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them". Note the words “LIKE AS OF FIRE” This was NOT baptism of fire. Baptism of fire is for destruction and is still reserved for the FUTURE in regarding UNBELIEVERS!

1 John 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. When the identity of a thing is unknown, abuse is inevitable.

What qualify you to be called after God is because you have been given His power. John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on
