GOD IS NOT ANGRY AT SIN ANY MORE. HE IS NOT EVEN IN A BAD MOOD!-Part2.
Updated: Sep 23, 2020
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. JOHN 1: 29.
God is not angry at any Christian. The full anger of God was against sin not the world of men. It was LOVE not ANGER that made him give us Jesus to die for us. ”For God so LOVED THE WORLD, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”, JOHN 3: 16.
“But God, who is rich in mercy, FOR HIS GREAT LOVE WHEREWITH HE LOVED US, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, by grace ye are saved;” EPHESIANS 2: 4. On the cross, Jesus became sin on our behalf. The whole content of past, present and future sins of the whole world was upon him.
“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him”. 2CORINTHIANS 5: 21. This made him deserve the full wrath and anger of God for sin. His death was the punishment for sin. He died once and satisfied the full anger for sin forever. God therefore is satisfied with the sacrifice of his son Jesus Christ.
Therefore, anybody who is in Christ has no punishment or wrath to face again. “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus”-ROMANS 8: 1 Since God cannot be angry at Jesus, he cannot be angry at anybody in Christ. God is forever happy with the man in Christ. God cannot be angry at you because you did something wrong once or multiple times.
“To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, NOT IMPUTING THEIR TRESPASSES UNTO THEM; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” 2CORINTHIANS 5: 19.
God wants us to renew our minds so as to live lives consistent with his will and purpose being fruitful in every way, but our failures and weakness do not change his mood against us. He does not become angry today and happy tomorrow. He is forever pleased with us in Christ. The man in Christ has favour and acceptance before God.
Never assume your present challenges is an expression of God’s anger against you for not meeting his standards. Never condemn yourself or think God is against you because of the wrong things you did. Jesus Christ is our righteousness, forgiveness, redemption, wisdom, sanctification and holiness.
“But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:” 1CORINTHIANS 1: 30.
God is not angry with sin any More. Why? Because the full wrath and anger of God against sin fell on Christ, our sin-bearer about 2000 years ago. . “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;” EPHESIANS 1: 7. According to the riches of God’s grace, He has forgiven you of all sins. God is not angry at you.
I am saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus. In Christ I have eternal forgiveness. God is not angry at me. My failures and weakness cannot change his love for me. I reject any voice of accusation from the devil and I declare with boldness that I am highly favoured and blessed in Christ. I receive and walk in every blessing which is mine in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah
Christ Consciousness Assures Our Hearts.
1 John 3:19-22 We can't assure our hearts of what we do not know...therefore, right, accurate and precise knowledge is vital. Romans 8:31-32 Jesus was judged and what was supposed to happen to the ungodly, happened to him.
He was given up to his enemy which was death and died the death of betrayal, so, He(Jesus), handed over himself. Hebrews 2:14 Jesus destroyed him that had the power of death by submitting himself to death. His death was the destruction of death. If God has justified us by the death of Jesus, nobody can lay a charge against us.
If he gave himself over to the enemy on our behalf, demanding nothing, what shall he not do for us, freely? We are "just" beneficiaries of justification. Jesus alone paid the price and won all things for us.
God's attitude to sin is favour. He justifies the ungodly. God doesn't pamper nor overlook sin. He favours the sinner on perfect legal grounds, by the death of his son, Jesus. Matthew 26:28. The favour a man enjoys the day he received Christ is the same favour he enjoys forever.
For the sacrifice that gave Jesus to us in salvation is a one off sacrifice,-one offering forever. Therefore, the same favor that gave us Jesus in salvation guarantees us eternally. God's response to the sinner is mercy and forgiveness. God has never been angry with the sinner.
Romans 2:4 The goodness of God leads to repentance. Not his anger nor wrath. Favour has always been God's disposition towards the sinner right from the beginning of time. And he went ahead, on legal grounds, to demonstrate his favour and mercy by Christ dying for us.
Matthew 26:28 Remission is the Greek word, "Aphesis". It means to take away. The blood of Jesus is a permanent solution for sin. It takes sin away from our relationship with God. Sin can never break the relationship we have with God. If sin could, it means sin is more potent than the blood of Christ, but that is not the case.
Luke 24:27 We preach the gospel of the remission of sins, which is good news...We don't pray about it. We preach it. That is our message. We preach the forgiveness of sins. (Acts 13:38). Righteousness is a gift of God's justification of/to us. Righteousness is a state, given us by the act of justification. God did what was right on legal grounds to justify the sinner.
While we were yet sinners, Christ died (Rom 5:8). It had nothing to do with us. Our contribution was not required. Jesus paid for sins forever, by himself, once, for all and forever. Righteousness is a gift of God's righteous act. We are righteous because of God's righteous act.
Hebrews 1:3 Jesus, by himself, purged(cleared out)sins. So the issue of sin was concluded. Then he sat, signifying that all sins have been purged. That is the gift of God's grace. Hebrews 2:14-15 Jesus, through death, destroyed he that had the power of death, - the devil. He alone did this.
Hebrews 8:12 God will not remember our sins no more because he has purged all our sins. This is the Charter of the New Testament. Hebrews 9:14 We can't serve the living God with a conscience that is full of dead works. It must be purged.
And this is what Jesus offered, - the purging of our consciences from dead works, from sin consciousness. Hebrews 10:1-4 The sacrifice of animals, year by year, was the confession of sins. And these sacrifices could never take away sins. Yet people kept at it. That was wasteful.
If the yearly sacrifices and confession of sins was the cure, then it should have made them perfect and taken away their consciousness of sins. But it is not possible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. The remembrance of sins that came to them yearly was the proof that they were not perfected by those sacrifices of sin.
Hebrews 10:11-14 By the sacrifice of Jesus, we no longer discuss sin with God. We have come to the end. We have been perfected, forever. Jesus' death and sacrifice was perfect. Hence, the recipients(we) of Jesus' death and sacrifice are perfect.
The old testament people were not perfect, despite their sacrifices, because their sacrifices were not perfect. But the death of Jesus was perfect and has perfected the us forever. We are perfected before God by the death and sacrifice of Jesus.
1 John 2:1-2 The word advocate is the Greek word, parakletos. It means a helper. Someone who stands for you. Hebrews 7:25.Our righteousness was achieved by someone else(a third party), who gave us the opportunity to enjoy freedom from sin forever. And because he continues to live in us forever, he is our advocate forever with the Father.
Hebrews 8:1, 10:12-13, 12:1-2 We look away from the old testament people and look unto Jesus, the author and finisher of faith. Propitiation is the Greek word, elasmos. It means to pay for sin and prevent wrath and anger. Jesus is the permanent prevention of wrath and anger for man. The work of Christ is not temporary. It is permanent.
Righteousness is a permanent state, it became permanently Ours based on a permanent ground of legal backing. This permanent state became ours by the act of justification in Christ's death which was permanent. Our role in what God has done is "in Christ".
1 John 3:19-22 Our consciences are not gifts from God, because we do not all have the same consciences. Some have weak, others have strong consciences. Our consciences are our making. Our consciences is not the voice nor will of God. It is an act of our own will. Our conscience is not God's Spirit.
1 Corinthians 8:4-7 Our conscience is the product of the kind of knowledge we have. People can have the knowledge of things that don't exist(eg. Idols). So the non-existent becomes existent in their consciences. The teaching of the finished work of Christ is the knowledge that produces the right conscience in any man.
Howbeit, there be not in every man, this knowledge. Thus, people with weak consciences gets defiled. Then they feel condemned. It is not the Holy Spirit that makes a man feel unholy but it is his dirty conscience that makes him feel unholy. Righteousness comes from God. It is a gift and is based on what Christ has done.
Hebrews 10:19-23 We come to the full assurance of faith through knowledge. We assure our hearts through knowledge. 1 John 3:19. We are the ones to teach and train our hearts aright with accurate and precise knowledge. We free our minds by assuring our hearts...Our hearts here refer to our mind, will and emotions.
In certain aspects of the word, heart sometimes is used for the Holy Spirit, but in this context, the heart is used for the mind, emotions and will. Hebrews 13:8-9 Let your heart be established in grace, - the knowledge of Christ. And be not unsettled with strange meats of strange doctrines.
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways, as a result of sin consciousness, and let not this man think he can receive anything from the Lord. So we must establish/assure our hearts in Grace, which is the accurate and precise knowledge of God. That we be not unstable in our hearts. For instability makes for an evil heart. For consciousness of sin produces a double mind.
We must be a people with singleness of purpose. We know that we have confidence with God, therefore we assure our hearts. We are free from condemnation. And we receive all things from God, and from the finished work of Christ. We know that whenever we pray, we always receive in confidence from God.
We are not in condemnation, we have confidence towards God. And because we have confidence, whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing to God.
