DOES GOD KILL?-PART 1
If you still believe that God kills and destroys, it's either You are not Born Again or you haven't come to the Knowledge of the Truth.
When You study the Bible, You must allow the Holy Spirit to Rightly Divide the Word of Truth as 2 Timothy 2:15 says, else you will carry the same error the Old Testament People carried.
(Matthew 5:43 KJV) Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
Moses taught the Israelites to hate their enemies and presented it as the Law of God but Jesus Christ came and taught the contrary.
(Matthew 5:44 KJV) But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
The real nature of God is to love those who hate you and do them good. But religion has asked us to pray for them to die which is contrary to the Teachings of God.
(Matthew 5:45 KJV) That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
The same way God is good even to the evil is the same way His Children should be good to evil people. When You as an alleged Child of God starts praying for People to die, it's a proof that you are working against the nature of God.
(Luke 9:54 KJV) And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?
See the Disciples of Jesus wanting to imitate an Old Testament Prophet to call fire (death) to Consume the people of Samaria for not letting the crew of Jesus pass through their land to enter Jerusalem.
Jesus Christ had a different reaction from that of Elijah as can be seen in "Luke 9:55-But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of".
Jesus rebuked them as He rebuked demons and the works of darkness. Luke 9:56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.
If Jesus Christ was physically in the days of Elijah, He would have rebuked Elijah for killing People in the name of God.Why?? Because God doesn't kill. God comes in to save not to kill.
Anytime you read 'God killed' in the Old Testament or 'God got angry' or 'God changed His Mind', know that the Old Testament writers recorded that, not God.
In Bible Studies, you must understand this:
(2 Timothy 3:16 KJV) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
The Scriptures were inspired to be written by men in the OT. NOTE THIS: God inspired men to write but he did not do the writing Himself.
(Genesis 3:4 KJV) And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
God inspired the account of Satan tempting Eve to be written but God never inspired Satan to tempt Eve. The Old Testament People said and wrote many things about God that were not inspired by God.
When you hear them say "God kills", they weren't inspired by God to WRITE such words about God because God is not behind death neither does God use Death to teach human beings a lesson. (Romans 5:12 KJV) Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Death entered this World through the instrumentality of man not God.
God doesn't kill.
(Genesis 2:17 KJV) But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Here God came and warned Adam to watch his choice or else his choice could bring death.
(James 1:13 KJV) Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: God does not tempt man with evil. Evil doesn't come from God. Neither does God uses death or evil to tempt or correct people.
(James 1:14 KJV) But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Here Brother James is giving us the motions and steps that lead to sin and Death. God isn't in the equation. Not even Satan, but human beings.
(James 1:15 KJV) Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. Death came as the result of the choice of Adam and Eve NOT God.
(James 1:16 KJV) Do not err, my beloved brethren. You enter error when you go to the Bible to look for Scriptures that allegedly state thar God kills because Jesus Christ never presented God as someone who kills. Do not err like the Old Testament Prophets/writers. God didn't argue with them because He knew they weren't Born Again so they couldn't know God.
(James 1:17 KJV) Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. God is the Father of lights (believers in Him) and in Him is no darkness at all. The Moment You start attributing anger and death to God, it shows that either: you are not born again or you are ignorant about the truth as revealed in the New Testament.
(1 John 1:5 KJV) This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. Death is the work of darkness. Death is an enemy to God.
(1 Corinthians 15:26 KJV) The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
Death is an enemy to human beings and to God. It was the error of the Old Testament prophets/writers to say "God kills", I won't blame them, they weren't Born Again. They were spiritually dead people.
(Acts 10:38 KJV) How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. The nature of God is to heal and do good, not killing People. Jesus Christ came to Save Us from Sin whose wages is death.
(Matthew 1:21 KJV) And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. That's the will of God.
(Hebrews 2:14 KJV) Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; Satan was the one behind death in the Old Testament. When You say God was behind death, it shows You need to check if you are Truly You are Born Again or saved.
People that said God kills in the OT didn't have the Spirit of Truth, so everything good or bad was attributed to God which was wrong. The Holy Spirit was NOT dwelling in them permanently.
(1 John 4:1 KJV) Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
We must test the spirit at work in people with the Spirit of Truth.
(1 John 4:2 KJV) Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God. I wonder why you will call Yourself a man or woman of God and still say "God kills", it shows you have to test the Spirit at work in You.
(John 14:10 KJV) Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Everything Jesus Christ did revealed the true nature and character of God. Jesus Christ never killed anyone. God doesn't kill.
(1 Timothy 3:16 KJV) And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. When You say 'God kills', you are speaking against what Jesus Christ stands for. So I wonder why you pray in Jesus' Name and still believe "God kills". Jesus NEVER killed anyone!!
(John 14:17 KJV) Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. It's the lack of the Spirit of Truth that will cause you to say "God kills" and "destroys" The Old Testament People didn't have the Spirit of Truth, so they said and wrote things that weren't True about God.
The Spirit of Truth dwells in us permanently. Therefore we know the Truth and we should correct the Old Testament People. Are you an Old Testament Saint??That time has passed.
See this...... (Hebrews 2:15 KJV) And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Why will God deliver us from the Bondage of death and still is the same person killing people?? Does that make sense?? Is there confusion in God?? God is not the author of confusion, the bible says.
Certainly not the God of Jesus Christ.
(2 Timothy 2:15 KJV) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. You must Study to Rightly Divide the Word of Truth else you will wrongly Divide the Word of Truth and this will trouble people.
(John 5:39 KJV) Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. The Scriptures testify of Christ Only, so when you read, you must make sure you allow Christ and His Spirit take the center stage.
(Acts 5:42 KJV) And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ. The Message of The Bible is Christ.
(Romans 1:16 KJV) For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Christ is the Character of God to Save the lost.
When You start quoting and believing Scriptures in the OT that are contrary to the Teachings of Jesus Christ, it shows You have not learnt anything. Keep your title aside and learn from Christ Alone.
(Romans 8:2 KJV) For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. How will the same person who delivers us from death be the same person killing? Does that make sense??
